Job summary

Northwest Kidney Centers in Renton, Burien and Panther Lake is seeking a Nurse Supervisor for the Home Program to oversee Care Managers delivering care to Home Patients on dialysis. This is a full-time day shift position supporting patients and staff across NKC locations.

You will assist the Program Manager with site visits, infection review, patient education, and ongoing assessment, while coordinating staff orientation and QI activities in a collaborative leadership role.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nursing license in the state of Washington.
  • 1+ year of previous Nursing experience.
  • 2+ years of PD and HHD experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support Home Program Care Managers in delivering and documenting care for Home Patients dialyzing at NKC.
  • Assist Program Manager with site visits, infection review, and patient education and assessment.
  • Coordinate new staff orientation, renal fellow orientation, and QI team activities.

Northwest Kidney Centers Home Program seeks a Nurse Supervisor for our Renton, Burien and Panther Lake Kidney Centers

Shift: Full-time, 40 hours, day shift (0800-1630), Mon-Fri.

The Nurse Supervisor is accountable for the oversight and support of the Home Program Care Managers in the delivery and documentation of care of Home Patients dialyzing at NKC. This position provides support to Home Program Care Managers and patients and assists the Program Manager with site visits, infection review, coordinating new and on-going patient education and assessment, co-originating new staff and renal fellow orientation, coordination of department QI team. The nurse accepts and follows the leadership from the Program Manager.

Requirements
  • Current Registered Nursing license in the state of Washington
  • 1+ year of previous Nursing experience
  • 2+ years of PD and HHD experience
Preferred qualifications
  • HD experience
Other qualifications include:
  • Involvement in appropriate professional committees
  • Willingness to work with hepatitis- and HIV-positive patients following NKC recommended guidelines
  • Performance of continuing education responsibilities
