Job summary

Our Client, a Japanese Food Manufacturer in the NY/NJ area, is seeking a Chinese-speaking Home Office Sales Rep to develop and grow sales across the East Coast.

This full-time, direct-hire role involves building distributor relations, presenting products, traveling heavily (about 80%), and coordinating with internal teams to ensure inventory and sales initiatives.

Successful candidates have 3+ years outside sales experience, experience with distributors, and language skills in Chinese or Japanese.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in food or consumer products.
• Experience working with distributors and wholesale accounts.
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and cold calling.
• Conduct customer visits, product presentations, and sales demonstrations.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
• Resolve customer issues and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support inventory, product availability, and sales initiatives.
• Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory (approximately 80%).
