Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to safely deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, or long-term care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure comfort and independence, and maintain equipment per policies.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and healthcare or field service experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
• Healthcare technician, military service, or delivery/field service with customer service interaction experience is preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, and maintain equipment per policies and safety standards.
• Process orders and complete documentation accurately to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources as appropriate.
