Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment to patients in their homes, clinics, or care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers on proper use, safety, and troubleshooting while ensuring comfort and independence.

Role requires a High School Diploma and a valid driver’s license. The position is primarily field-based with opportunities for on-call coverage and participation in our Total Rewards &

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and infection-control standards, including proper use of PPE.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment per policies and safety standards.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs; report hazards or incidents.
• Process orders and complete documentation accurately and timely to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Maintain basic reimbursement knowledge to ensure proper billing for equipment and services.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources as appropriate.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with all policies.
• Complete required compliance training and participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
