Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients’ homes and care settings. You will educate patients, perform assessments, and maintain equipment while ensuring safety and HIPAA compliance.

The role emphasizes on-site field work, a valid driver's license, and customer-focused service with opportunities for growth within a national home healthcare provider.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of home medical equipment and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and follow-up to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergency conditions when required.
• Deliver, set up, and maintain respiratory and HME equipment at patient sites.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and safety standards.
• Complete documentation to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Operate a company vehicle safely and professionally.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and on-call rotation.
