Job summary

L’Arche Erie, Inc. seeks a House Manager to lead a residential home and ensure the welfare of Core Members in the Erie area.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and at least one year in a supervisory role in a group home setting. A valid driver’s license and clearances (Act 34 and FBI if out of state) are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Clearances (Act 34 and FBI if out of state) required.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Flexible schedule including weekends.
• Minimum one year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Minimum one year of supervisory or leadership experience in a group home.
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs and transfer individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the needs of Core Members and their welfare
• Follow 6400 regulations to assure Core Members a positive quality of life
• Participate in the development and implementation of Core Members’ Individual Support Plans and meet programmatic needs of Core Members
• Prepares and monitors all written required reports in a timely manner with accuracy
• Coordinates and regularly facilitates team meetings
• Participates in bi-weekly Home Leader meetings and other programmatic or operational meetings as required
• Support Core Members with daily living skills, administration of meds, etc.
• Transportation of Core Members as needed
• Support L’Arche Erie’s mission and participation in L’Arche formations
