Job summary

Citizens is hiring dedicated Mortgage Loan Officers who identify and build a network of relationships to drive mortgage lending opportunities. You will interview customers, determine loan needs, and advise on products, terms and pricing while gathering information for complete applications.

The role emphasizes meeting sales goals, following SAFE Act requirements, and leveraging community networks to grow business and promote home ownership.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent experience in residential mortgage sales.
• Two plus years of retail residential mortgage sales experience.
• Documented residential mortgage loan volume in the past 12 months of $8 million (minimum).
• Established relationships with local referral networks.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong computer skills and experience using laptop technology.
• Must meet and follow all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including background checks and obtaining a Unique Identifier from the NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Interview new and existing customers to determine their loan needs and advise on appropriate products, terms, and pricing.
• Generate complete mortgage applications and ensure procedures and policies are followed while meeting sales goals.
• Identify, build and maintain a quality network of business relationships that serves as a source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities.
• Proactively develop and expand customer relationships to contribute to branch success.
• Participate in business-related development opportunities and community efforts to promote home ownership.
