Job summary

SWF Home Inspections is seeking a Licensed Home Inspector to serve the Naples, Cape Coral, and Fort Myers markets. You will perform residential home inspections, evaluate property systems, and clearly communicate findings to buyers, homeowners, and real estate professionals.

As a W-2 employee, you’ll benefit from stable pay, PTO, paid holidays, and provided tools like drone and radon testing kits. You’ll grow with the company and expand into additional services as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Home Inspector license in good standing (DBPR).
• InterNACHI or ASHI membership or certification.
• Live in or near Naples, Cape Coral, or Fort Myers.
• Strong customer service and people skills.
• Comfortable with tablets, computers, and digital reporting software.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• A teachable attitude and a commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Perform full residential home inspections across Lee and Collier counties as a W-2 employee of SWF Home Inspections.
• Complete insurance inspections, including 4-point and wind mitigation reports.
• Deliver clear, high-quality digital reports on time.
• Walk buyers and agents through findings in plain language for confident decisions.
• Build lasting relationships with homebuyers, homeowners, real estate agents, and teammates.
• Expand into additional services such as pool inspections, radon testing, mold testing, stucco inspections, pre-drywall inspections, and light commercial inspections.
• Keep learning through ongoing training in inspection skills and customer service.

Already hold an active Florida home inspector license? Then you know Southwest Florida homes: block construction, tile and metal roofs, pool cages and lanais, salt air, and buyers who need a 4-point and wind mitigation report before they can bind insurance. We want an inspector who already knows this market and is ready for a steady, well-supported W-2 role, rather than running a business alone.

SWF Home Inspections is hiring a Licensed Home Inspector to serve the Naples, Cape Coral, and Fort Myers markets. This is a field-based role where you will perform residential home inspections, evaluate property systems and components, and clearly communicate your findings to homebuyers, homeowners, and real estate professionals.

What we are looking for:

Required

• Active Florida Home Inspector license in good standing, issued by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR)
• InterNACHI or ASHI membership or certification
• Live in or near Naples, Cape Coral, or Fort Myers
• Strong customer service and people skills
• Comfortable with tablets, computers, and digital reporting software
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• A teachable attitude and a commitment to continuous learning

Preferred

• Hands-on inspection experience in Southwest Florida homes, including block construction, tile and metal roofs, pools, and lanais
• Experience completing 4-point and wind mitigation inspections
• Construction or trades background
• Additional credentials in radon, mold, or other ancillary services

Physical requirements:

• Work outdoors and in attics during Florida heat and humidity
• Stand and walk for long stretches, and bend, kneel, and crawl as needed
• Access attics and crawl spaces where present
• Lift and carry medium-sized ladders and smaller equipment
• Home inspection is a moderately physical job
