Job summary

TLC Home Inspections, the leading home inspection provider in the Austin area, seeks an energetic inspector to join our field team. You will inspect attics, roofs, crawl spaces, and electrical panels, explaining findings to clients and agents with a friendly approach.

Candidates should be independently motivated, highly organized, and comfortable using smartphones to document and communicate results. Reliable transportation is a must.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• TREC licensed home inspector or ability to obtain license.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Certified WDO Inspector or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect various systems within homes (attics, roofs, crawl spaces, electrical panels) per Standards of Practice.
• Explain inspection findings clearly to customers and agents.
• Understand inspection auxiliary services and educate clients about them.
• Enter data into a smartphone, take/upload photos, and communicate via email/text.
• Build and sustain long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers.

TLC Home Inspections (TLC) is the leading provider of professional home inspections in the Austin market. TLC has been growing in the Austin Market and rapidly expanding into Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas. What you'll do:

• Inspect various systems within a variety of houses (Inspecting attics and roofs, crawling into crawl spaces, taking off electric panels) within the framework of a Standards of Practice (InterNACHI) and/or TREC State Licensing
• Understand the full and complete inspection process
• Effectively and in a friendly manner explain, help, and review information and inspection findings to customers and agents
• Know and understand inspection auxiliary services and how to education clients about them
• Enter data into a smart phone, taking, and uploading pictures, use of email and instant messaging communication
• Build and sustain long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers

What you'll need:

• TREC licensed home inspector
• Valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
• Certified WDO Inspector - or ability to obtain

Nice things to add:

• Real estate, home inspection or related field experience
• Associates degree or greater
