Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse to apply the nursing process in patient care and coordinate with other departments. The role maintains patient rights and confidentiality while upholding Mercy's mission and service standards.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, a current state license, CPR certification within 90 days, and the ability to operate clinical equipment. A driver’s license is required for Home Infusion where applicable.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of the principles and skills needed for nursing, care, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
• Knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education, principles to develop a self-care program, instruments and common safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
