Job summary

Amerita, the leading home infusion provider, seeks a Pharmacy Technician - Compounding to join our Utah team. You will prepare sterile and non-sterile products, assist pharmacists, and ensure compliance with USP 797/800 while maintaining proper documentation and logs.

The role requires licensure, training, and potentially aseptic experience; on-site schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Pharmacy Technician training program; IV certification preferred.
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician per state regulations.
• National Certification required by state board where applicable.
• 1–3 years of related patient care/pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience with aseptic preparation and compounding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule sterile compounding and home medical equipment orders with pharmacist assistance.
• Perform calculations for product preparation.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile preparations using aseptic technique per state laws and USP standards.
• Maintain clean room and equipment; log temperature, pressure, humidity, and sterility logs.
• Document all activities in logs; participate in meetings and quality improvement activities.
• Adhere to all regulations (OSHA, FDA, state/local) relevant to infusion pharmacy and home medical equipment.

Education

Pharmacy Technician training program

IV certification (preferred)

Pharmacy Technician license

National Pharmacy Technician Certification

Aseptic compounding knowledge

Strong mathematical ability

Excellent communication skills
