Job summary

Infusion Services of Tacoma is seeking an Infusion Pharmacist for a full-time, on-site role near Kent, WA. You will oversee the safe preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of infusion therapies and collaborate with prescribers, nurses, and care teams.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree; active and unrestricted pharmacist license in Washington State required.
• Prior infusion pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or home infusion services experience preferred.

Role Description

The Infusion Pharmacist is a full-time, on-site role based near Kent, WA, responsible for overseeing the safe preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of infusion therapies for diverse patient populations. This role includes verifying medication orders, performing clinical assessments for appropriate dosing and compatibility, and preparing sterile admixtures in accordance with USP and state board of pharmacy standards. The Infusion Pharmacist collaborates closely with prescribers, nurses, and other care team members to develop individualized therapy plans, provide medication counseling, and support transitions of care between home and alternate infusion sites. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve maintaining accurate documentation, managing inventory and cold-chain storage, ensuring regulatory and accreditation compliance, and participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes. The role requires consistent, professional communication with patients and caregivers to address questions, monitor therapy response, and coordinate follow-up.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong clinical pharmacy skills, including infusion therapy management, sterile compounding, dose calculation, and medication monitoring.
