Job summary
Helms Home Care in Columbus, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide in-home infusion therapy on a PRN basis. The RN will perform catheter access, administer medications, monitor vitals, and educate patients in their homes.
This role requires reliable transportation, a valid RN license, and strong communication with scheduling staff. Benefits include mileage reimbursement, supplies provided for lab draws and infusion therapy, and opportunities for advancement with a Simple IRA plan.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license and competent in infusion duties.
- Minimum 1 year of infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance experience.
- Strong communication with scheduling personnel and patients.
- Reliable transportation and licensed driver with insurance.
- Willingness to perform approx. 2 home visits per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform catheter access and care (peripheral IVs, ports, PICC/central lines) and vital signs.
- Administer medications including Abx, TPN, IVIG and other specialty meds; perform blood draws.
- Provide patient education on self-administration and home care.
- Submit visit notes promptly using electronic charting.
