Home infusion therapy (HIT) involves administering infusion treatments directly in a patient's home, nursing homes, hospitals, and outpatient clinics. It offers patients greater autonomy over their care.
The Home Infusion RN provides excellent patient care, primarily for adult patients, handling treatments such as IVIG, monoclonal antibodies, enzyme replacement, clotting factor, and more, using various administration methods. The role combines clinical expertise with compassionate care.
This role involves traveling to patient homes and clinical settings, with on-call responsibilities. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and exposure to potentially hazardous materials and environments, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
Type: Hourly/Non-exempt. Duties may evolve over time.
