We are seeking an experienced and motivated Intake Coordinator to oversee patient access, verify insurance benefits, and manage authorizations in a full-time, remote role. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, attention to detail, and knowledge of insurance verification and healthcare regulations.

Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Manager, the Supervisor oversees daily operations of the Intake department, ensuring patient benefits are verified per company guidelines, and that customer service and profitability goals are met.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in customer service, medical billing, insurance verification, or related healthcare field, preferably in home infusion.
• 1-3 years supervisory experience in healthcare office functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise, plan, and organize department activities.
• Monitor staff performance, provide coaching, and conduct reviews.
• Lead team meetings, manage personnel issues, and ensure compliance with policies.
• Train staff on pharmacy software, insurance procedures, and workflows.
• Respond to escalated patient inquiries and maintain professional relationships.
• Collaborate with other departments and participate in meetings to improve operations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and create corrective action reports.
• Support all departments and serve as backup manager when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of medical codes, insurance plans, and infusion supplies.

Qualifications
