Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Speech Therapist in Home Health to assess and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive needs. You will plan and deliver therapy aligned with physician-ordered care, supporting patient well-being and communication.

Responsibilities include evaluating patient function, developing the therapy plan, and instructing patients and families. Candidates must be licensed in their state, with CPR certification and weekend availability, and be able to travel to home

Qualifications

Licensed Speech Therapist in the state of residence.
Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing the practice of speech therapy, per plan of care and in coordination with the health care team.
Evaluates function and assists physician in developing treatment plan.
Treats patients to improve communication and swallowing based on assessment.
Observes, records, and reports patient response to treatment.
Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and team in speech therapy areas for participation.
Function across home settings regardless of age, race, creed, or disability.
