Job summary

Elite Home Health in Amarillo, Texas, is seeking a PRN Speech Therapist / Speech Language Pathologist to assess and treat patients in home health. The role involves creating and implementing treatment plans for communication, swallowing, and cognitive impairments, coordinating with the care team, and measuring progress.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, documentation, caregiver instruction, and delivering care within state practice standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Current driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle or reliable transportation.
• Preferred CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire (if applicable).
• Weekend rotation availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws.
• Evaluates function and assists in developing the therapy plan of care.
• Treats patients to improve communication and swallowing effectiveness.
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses to treatment.
• Instructs patient, family, and caregivers in speech therapy techniques.
• Functions in diverse home settings irrespective of patient demographics.
