Job summary

A prominent health care service provider in Albuquerque, NM is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to join their growing team. This part-time position offers flexibility working 3 days a week, allowing you to provide essential evaluations and therapeutic services to clients in their home environment. Qualifications

• Certification of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
• Licensed as a speech therapist in the state in which practicing.
• At least one year of acute care setting or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of speech therapy.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to make home visits and provide nursing care in the home environment.
• Reliable transportation, current driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and assess home environment as appropriate.
• Identify functional speech defects and establish a plan of care.
• Administer diagnostic speech and language evaluations.
• Recommend communication devices/aids as needed.
• Prepare reports of diagnostic evaluations and make recommendations.
• Advise and teach appropriate procedures to clients, family, and agency staff.
• Provide direct speech service to clients under the provider’s plan of care.
