Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to manage visits for home health patients, enter staff and patient data, and maintain work schedules for clinicians to meet patient care needs.

This role supports staffing, verifies hours, and communicates scheduling changes, with a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule. Requires 2 years in a medical office setting; familiarity with physician billing and scheduling is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years in medical office environment.
• Exposure and working knowledge of physician billing, medical collections, coding and surgery scheduling and/or patient access.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain scheduling for home health patients and staff.
• Enter staff and patient information into database and maintain reports.
• Develop and monitor work schedules for Clinicians to meet patient care needs and adjust staffing daily.
• Verify hours worked daily, bonus hours, overtime hours and benefit days.
• Schedule patient appointments/visits according to care plans and staff availability.
• Communicate scheduling changes to care providers and clients.
• Perform general office duties as assigned.
