Job summary

Senior Helpers Maine is seeking a qualified RN for home health visits in Penobscot County, serving the Bangor area. The role offers part-time or full-time schedules with an hourly rate of $37–$40.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Monitor vital signs and health indicators regularly.
• Provide wound care and dressing changes.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, feeding).
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers for comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and care strategies.
• Document patient progress and update medical records.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care as needed.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and families.
• Manage pain and symptoms for patients with chronic or terminal conditions.
• Supervise home health aides and other staff.

RN Nurse Responsibilities & Duties

Qualifications

Preferred

• Certification in specialized areas of nursing (e.g., geriatrics, pediatrics)
• Previous experience in home healthcare or private duty nursing
• Advanced training in critical care or emergency response
