Job summary

PruittHealth @ Home is seeking an RN Preceptor to guide new RN partners through onboarding, ensuring clinical independence and competence. The role includes teaching, supervising patient care, and managing a full patient load when not precepting.

The RN Preceptor will collaborate with clinical managers and care teams to advance preceptee skills and maintain high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or a graduate of an accredited/approved RN program.
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.
• Current, active and unrestricted RN license in state of practice.
• Minimum of six months of experience in nursing education, training, and/or precepting.
• Experience working with elders preferred.
• Passionate about nursing education and development.

Responsibilities

• Precepting duties: educate and supervise new RN partners within a specified region.
• Begin precepting in week 3 of onboarding and orientation after clinical orientation.
• Teaches, demonstrates, and supervises clinical activities and documentation to aid in preceptee skill development.
• When not precepting, spend 100% of time on full patient load; rotations average eight weeks.
• Coordinate with agency stakeholders to assess and progress preceptees' experience.
• Provide weekly candid feedback and meet with Preceptorship Coordinator to improve program.
