Job summary

Lorian Health in Las Vegas seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide professional home health care under the nursing process. You’ll assess patient status, implement plans of care, administer medications, and coordinate with physicians to ensure quality care at the patient’s home.

The role requires a valid RN license, CPR, a driving license with insured vehicle, and at least one year of home health or hospice experience.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed RN in the state of practice.
• IV or ET certification, if applicable, recognized by the state.
• Possesses excellent observation, nursing judgment and communication skills.
• Maintains CPR certification.
• Licensed driver with insured vehicle per Lorian Health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care by utilizing all elements of the nursing process.
• Assesses and evaluates patient status by reviewing and implementing the Plan of Care and regular re-evaluation.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Initiates and applies preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing procedures and communicates with physician and supervisors.
• Observes patient for changes, discusses with patient/family, and reports to attending physician as needed.
• Assists patient with activities of daily living and promotes independence.
• Educates patient and family on self-care techniques; provides health counseling as appropriate.
• Maintains a safe environment for patient.
