Job summary

Flexible to Part time with a Day shift; requires Illinois RN license, CPR, and 1 year of medical-surgical experience. Competitive sign-on bonus up to $3,000 applies to eligible internal candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of medical–surgical experience.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Earn 10 continuing education credits annually.

Responsibilities

• Nurse/patient relationship: develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
• Assures/improves quality care by facilitating access to resources and adhering to evidence-based standards.
• Patient/staff education: assesses learning needs and supports continued education for nursing peers and colleagues.
• Nursing process: uses a problem-solving approach, assesses changes, and coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Leadership/collaboration: participates in unit meetings, communicates effectively, and maintains current knowledge and certifications.
