Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Grand Blanc, Michigan, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Home Health in Lansing. The role involves delivering skilled nursing services to patients in their homes under supervision, and coordinating with the Clinical Services Supervisor to meet standards.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing school background, Michigan RN license, and 1–2 years in med/surg or a specialty area, plus a valid MI driver’s license. This position offers daily 8:00am–4:30pm shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
• Minimum of one to two years of med/surg, critical care or demonstrated experience in a specialty area.
• Current Michigan driver’s license and proof of valid automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and provides medically prescribed skilled nursing care and/or health counseling that contributes to the treatment of the medical condition, achievement of the rehabilitation potential, and/or reduction of pain and other symptoms.
• Makes the initial visit to assess the patient’s physical and emotional status, needs, and resources through observation, interview and analysis of records.
• Prepares the nursing plan of care, in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment, based on problems identified in the nursing assessment and provides patient teaching using the Care Plan/Standard of Care.
