Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for Home Health to deliver in-home nursing care per physician orders, coordinate comprehensive plans of care, and support patients and families in the St. Petersburg area.

The role requires an active Florida RN license, a valid driver's license, and strong communication skills. CPR certification is preferred and Home Health experience is a plus. This full-time position includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN licensure in Florida.
• Current Driver's License, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle.
• Preferred CPR Certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• 1+ years of Home Health experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Solid communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, develops, implements, and revises the plan of care with the physician and health care team.
• Supervises care by home health aides and licensed nurses; assigns tasks per regulations.
• Provides required supervisory visits.
• Provides high‑quality clinical services per plan and infection control standards; completes comprehensive assessments (OASIS).
• Documents patient visits per policy and payer requirements; syncs timely per policy.
• Makes nursing evaluations; ensures eligibility and medical necessity; communicates with physicians and team.
• Communicates with physicians, patients, and family to ensure quality care and service excellence.
• Participates in on‑call and weekend rotation; adheres to utilization management model.
• Supports orientation of new staff and participates in performance improvement activities.
