Job summary

Symbii Home Health and Hospice is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide PT services under the direction of a physical therapist and according to the physician’s plan of care. The ideal candidate is licensed where the HHA operates, completed a CAPTE-approved PTA program, and holds current CPR certification.

Responsibilities include assisting with exercises, using modalities as prescribed, maintaining records, and participating in team meetings and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed where the HHA is located.
• Graduated from a CAPTE-approved PTA program and passed a national examination.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct physical therapy according to the physical therapist's directions and the physician's plan of care.
• Assists patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, gait and functional training.
• Utilizes physical agents (heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, massage) as directed.
• Maintains patient records and clinical notes within prescribed time frames.
• Participates in team meetings and in-service education programs.
