Job summary

Amedisys in Massachusetts is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide PT services in patients' homes under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. This full-time, weekday role covers designated communities in the area.

The PTA must hold a CAPTE-accredited PTA credential, a current state license, and CPR certification. One year of home health experience is preferred; mentoring may be required for less. Benefits and support are provided by Amedisys.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the state of assignment.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under supervision of a licensed PT and the approved plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and clinical staff.
• Maintains patient records and documents supervisory activities.
• Monitors patient progress and participates in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
