Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health at Home is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to provide in-home PT services across Burlington, Lincoln, Lexington and Waltham areas. The role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist.

Qualified candidates must hold an Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program, MA licensure, and current BLS. Two years of PTA experience in acute care, rehab, or home health is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• Current licensure to practice PTA in Massachusetts.
• Active BLS certification.
• Two years of PTA experience in acute care, rehab, or home health settings.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of a Registered Physical Therapist, provide PT services to patients in their residence.
• Review plan of care with supervisor and accept delegated tasks within capabilities and legal guidelines.
• Perform selected visits/interventions as directed by the RPT.
• Monitor patient response and escalate for re-evaluation if needed.
• Educate patient and family in therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and assistive devices.
• Communicate patient needs to the RPT and report changes in condition.
• Maintain care coordination with the supervising RPT and multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation and timely charting.
