We are hiring for a full-time Physical Therapist/PT to join our passionate team in Washington DC!

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' functional status and physical therapy needs, and consult with physicians to develop care plans.
  • Provide services within the scope of practice defined by state laws, in accordance with the care plan, and coordinate with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor and report patient responses and condition changes to supervisors and physicians.
  • Treat patients to alleviate pain, restore, or maintain function using evidence-based practices.
  • Educate patients, families, and healthcare team members about care plans, limitations, and progress.
  • Visit patients across the service area and nearby agencies as needed.
  • Complete progress notes for each visit and submit them per policy.
  • Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans within state guidelines, reporting outcomes within 24 hours.
  • Participate in staff meetings and committees as requested.
  • Supervise home health aides and PT assistants as permitted by state regulations.
  • Participate in weekend rotations to provide services as needed.
  • Prepare discharge summaries and periodic patient condition reports.
  • Provide in-service education upon request.
  • Adhere to LHC Therapy Standards of Practice.
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge and licensure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience

Licensure Requirements

  • Current Physical Therapy license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
