Job summary

Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Physical Therapist for Home Health in Asheville. You will assess mobility, endurance, and pain; develop treatment plans; and monitor progress.

Perform interventions to improve well-being and coordinate with the care team. Responsibilities include evaluating functional status, planning care with physicians, documenting progress, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapy licensure in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the patient's functional status and physical therapy needs.
• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing PT.
• Observes and reports the patient's response to treatment and any changes in condition.
• Treats patients to relieve pain, develop and restore function, and/or maintain maximum functioning.
• Instructs patient and family/caregivers regarding plan of care and progress.
• Visits patients according to Plan of Treatment and submits progress notes.
