Job summary

BioMechanics Physical Therapy is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist to provide in-home, evidence-based therapy within Bakersfield, CA.

This contract role supports patients recovering from surgery or managing chronic conditions with a focus on balance, strength, ROM, home safety, and equipment needs.

Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Physical exam within the past year.
• Negative TB test.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home physical therapy for patients recovering from surgery or managing chronic conditions.
• Focus on balance, strength, range of motion, home safety, and equipment assessments.
• Conduct 45-minute sessions, typically 2-3 visits per patient per week.
• Use software to document sessions and track progress.
• Handle a caseload of 1 to 7 patients weekly, depending on availability.
