Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for home health in Oregon. You will perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education under the supervising PT's plan of care.

Requirements include current licensure to assist in physical therapy in Oregon, a valid driver's license, and weekend availability. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible full-time candidates and comprehensive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of Oregon
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing provision of physical therapy in home care while following the supervising PT's plan of care
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and changes to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, or physician
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and health care team in therapy within the PT assistant scope
• Function in diverse home settings regardless of age, race, creed, or disabilities
