Job summary

Pinnacle Home Care, Florida’s largest Medicare-certified home health provider, is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) for PRN roles in the Lakeland area. You will work under the OT to deliver client care at home, assist in plan development, and educate patients and families on exercises and self-care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Current license or certification as required by state law.
• Current BLS Certification.
• 6–12 months Home Health experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with reliable, insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Under the OT direction, provide client care services delegated by the OT.
• Assist in evaluation and development of the rehabilitative plan of care and periodic re-evaluation.
• Prepare daily progress notes and periodic summaries as reviewed by the OT.
• Instruct clients and families in exercises and home programs.
• Guide clients in prescribed therapeutic self-care and use of assistive devices.
• Record observations in the clinical notes and report changes to the OT/physician.
