Job summary

Nurse Next Door is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, and implement individualized therapy for patients in their homes in the Coeur d'Alene region. The role emphasizes enhancing independence, safety, and daily living skills.

The OT will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and guide patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques. This position offers flexible scheduling and potential growth into a full‑time benefited role with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• NBCOT certification.
• Experience in home health care or similar setting preferred.
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to patients' homes and manage a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients in their homes to identify functional deficits.
• Develop personalized treatment plans with goals and physician input.
• Provide direct therapy to improve motor and cognitive abilities for daily activities.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and adaptive techniques.
• Recommend home modifications and assistive devices as needed.
• Maintain timely documentation of evaluations, plans, progress, and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other therapists; stay compliant with regulations.
