Job summary

DFW Home Health, part of the Optum family, is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to deliver occupational therapy in patients' homes, aiding recovery and functional independence.

This full-time role includes generous compensation, bonuses, and benefits. Requires OTA licensure in the state, driving eligibility, and NBCOT certification; CPR preferred or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Must be certified and in good standing with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing occupational therapy in home care and the supervising OT's treatment plan.
• Follow the plan of care, instructs and aids patients in evidence-based treatment.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to nurse supervisor and physician.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and health care team in therapy areas within OT scope.
• Provide care to patients regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
