Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care, Inc. is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist to perform client home visits in Dunedin, Florida, serving Pinellas County. This part-time to full-time opportunity offers a per-visit compensation model as you provide skilled OT services in patients' homes.

You will evaluate, plan and implement occupational therapy interventions, document care, and work within a multidisciplinary team to help adults and geriatric clients maintain independence at home.

Qualifications

• A current Florida Occupational Therapist license.
• A minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the AMA and the AOTA.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Solid computer skills; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
• Perform thorough evaluations of patients’ functional status and ADL/IADL performance.
• Assess cognitive, psychological and motor aspects and develop intervention plans.
• Evaluate home environment for hazards to independence.
• Identify equipment needs and environmental adaptations.
• Document observations and interventions in a state-of-the-art EMR.
• Educate patients and families to promote health, safety and independence.
