Job summary

Acute Home Healthcare in Orlando, FL is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist to serve Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties. You will deliver occupational therapy in patients\' homes, improving function and independence with personalized plans of care.

Choose your own hours with day shifts and work close to home, supported by a very cooperative office and 24/7 clinical supervision. Florida licensure and 2+ years of home care experience are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the state(s) of practice.
• At least 2 years of experience in home care.
• Level 2 Background screening

Responsibilities

• Improves or minimizes residual physical disabilities of the patient.
• Returns the individual to optimum and productive living within the patient's capabilities.
• Periodically participates with all other health care personnel in patient care planning.
• Provides prescribed occupational therapy.
• Takes initial history and makes initial evaluation.
• Consults with physicians regarding change in treatment.
• Writes reports to physicians regarding patient's progress.
• Instructs patients/family members in home programs and fine motor movement exercises.
• Assists the physician in evaluating level of function.
• Helps develop the plan of care and revises as necessary.
• Prepares clinical and progress notes.
• Advises and consults with the family and other Agency personnel.
• Participates in Inservice programs.
