Job summary

Caretenders, part of the LHC Group, seeks an Occupational Therapist to assess and evaluate patients’ functional status and daily living activities. The role includes home assessments, adaptive equipment considerations, and creating therapy plans in collaboration with physicians.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy licensure in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the patient's functional status and develops the therapy plan of care with the physician.
• Observes and reports patient response and changes to the condition to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Conducts patient assessments using functional ability tests.
• Instructs patient, family and health care team in therapy activities to support the patient.
