Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist for per diem weekday shifts in Virginia, offering flexible scheduling and the chance to help patients heal where they live.

You will deliver OT services under physician-approved plans, document thoroughly, supervise aides when needed, and address care goals while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice occupational therapy specific to the state you are assigned to work.
• Graduate of an OT program accredited by ACOTE or successor organizations.
• Eligible to take or having completed the NBCOT certification examination.
• One year related occupational therapy experience or approval by regional leaders with mentoring if less than 1 year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of occupational therapy service delivery under a physician-approved plan of care.
• Ensures the plan of care addresses all problems identified in the assessment or documents rationale if not addressed.
• Accountable for safety and effectiveness of the therapy service delivery process.
• Completes documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervises home health aide when RN is not active in the case.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $52.00/hr to $66.00/hr

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA), or successor organizations of ACOTE


• Eligible to take, or has successfully completed, the entry-level certification examination for occupational therapists developed and administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT).


• One year related occupational therapy experience to ensure knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide occupational therapy services to patients.

• Current CPR certification.
