Job description

We are seeking LICENSED VOCATIONAL NURSES (LVNs) (and RNs, CHHAs, therapists & assistants) in the coverage areas around MORENO VALLEY, CA to become a part of our team! You will provide routine healthcare to patients at the patient's home or in a care facility.

Busy Home Health Agency in need of LVNs (RNs, CHHAs, OTs, COTAs, STs, PTs and PTAs too) in the MORENO VALLEY, CA coverage area. Requires 1 year home health, hospital, nursing home and/or hospice experience. Spanish-speaking is a plus. Flexible schedule and possible full-time/part-time/per diem positions available.

Licensed Vocational Nurses need to be recruited to care for our patients and facilitate their speedy recovery. You will be responsible for educating them and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. Compassionate and cool-tempered skilled nurses needed. Health and safety guidelines should be faithfully and consistently followed. The goal is to promote patient’s well-being by providing high quality nursing care.

Responsibilities
  1. Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
  2. Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians
  3. Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
  4. Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients’ charts
  5. Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
  6. Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
  7. Provide instant medical care in emergencies
  8. Assist surgeons during operations
  9. Supervise and train home health aides (CHHAs)
  10. Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
  11. Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.
Skills
  1. Proven experience as a licensed vocational nurse
  2. Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
  3. Excellent knowledge of emergency care
  4. In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
  5. A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Responsible and compassionate
  7. Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
  8. Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
  9. BS or other diploma from a nursing program
  10. Valid nursing license
