Job summary

Amedisys Home Health in Alabama is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for a full-time role, Monday–Friday, with pay ranging from $24.00 to $30.00 per hour and a conversion to a per point pay method.

Responsibilities include verifying plans of care with the RN, collaborating with physicians, teaching self-care to patients and caregivers, checking vital signs, and performing medication reconciliations during visits. Benefits include medical plans, PTO, wellness rewards, and more.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN frequently to ensure patient needs are met; notify them when patient condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review all medications and perform a medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (e.g. Foley catheter change).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
