Job summary

Amedisys Home Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time daytime shifts in the Midlothian, VA area. The role involves providing in-home nursing care, verifying plans of care with the RN, collaborating with physicians, teaching patients and families, and performing routine procedures.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to meet patient needs and notify changes promptly.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform physician-ordered procedures (e.g., Foley catheter changes).
• Prepare equipment and materials using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
