Job summary

Bronson Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Bronson at Home on the First Shift. The LPN will perform general nursing duties, record vital signs, immunizations, and initial patient assessments, and educate patients and families on medications and care.

The role requires completion of an accredited LPN program, a Michigan license in good standing, and BLS certification, with 6–12 months healthcare experience. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited LPN program.
• 6–12 months experience in healthcare.
• Licensed LPN in Michigan in good standing.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares daily patient charts and maintains documentation standards.
• Prepares patients for examinations with assessment, vital signs, and medication reconciliation.
• Triages calls to determine urgency and need for appointment.
• Assists provider with minor and emergency procedures and examinations.
• Schedules tests and procedures and provides patient instructions.
• Performs laboratory tests as directed and records results.
• Coordinates admissions, referrals, and prescriptions.
• Educates patient and family about care.
• Interprets orders for medications and records data.
