Job summary

Frontpoint Health in Longview, TX, seeks a Full Time Home Health Intake & Authorization Coordinator to manage referral intake, obtain authorizations, verify eligibility, and coordinate start of care. You will act as a liaison among referral sources, physicians, insurers, clinicians, and patients to ensure compliant admissions.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience with home health intake, and familiarity with Medicare processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of home health intake, insurance authorization, or medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicare Advantage, other payers, and prior authorization requirements.
• Experience with Homecare Homebase.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process incoming home health referrals.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for all new referrals.
• Obtain prior authorizations and continued service authorizations from Medicare Advantage plans, and other payers.
• Coordinate with physicians to obtain face-to-face documentation and any additional required paperwork.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with HIPAA and agency policies.
• Assist with census growth by facilitating timely admissions.
