Job summary

Reliant at Home is seeking an Insurance Verification & Authorization Coordinator to ensure accurate patient insurance verification and authorization processing. The role supports agency operations by maintaining records, communicating with providers, and assisting with administrative tasks to ensure timely patient care services.

The position is onsite at the Plano office, with responsibilities including managing eligibility, authorizations, and related documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year in insurance verification/authorization preferred.
• Excellent phone, computer, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with insurance company representatives and internal team members.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility coverage.
• Obtain and pre-certify initial insurance authorizations for services.
• Monitor authorization expiration dates and follow up to maintain re-certification and continued coverage approvals.
• Document and update patient authorization and coverage information accurately and timely.
• Communicate with insurance company representatives regarding eligibility, authorization status, and coverage questions.
• Assist with administrative duties including billing support, payroll assistance, filing, and other office procedures as needed.
• Support special projects and additional duties assigned by leadership.
• Promote the agency’s mission and philosophy with patients, families, physicians, referral sources, and community agencies.
