Responsibilities

The Home Health Aide provides in-home personal care and health-related services to maintain patients' physical and emotional well-being, following the written plan of care, regulations, and agency policies.

  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as mobility, grooming, bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, following the assignment sheet.
  • Perform incidental household services necessary for the patient's health care at home.
  • Complete clinical notes for each visit within required timeframes.
  • Provide care according to the plan of care and regulations.
Education and Experience

License Requirements

  • Successful completion of a competency evaluation.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to transportation.

Additional State Specific Requirements

  • PA: Minimum of 60 hours of classroom instruction completed prior to or within the first 3 months of employment.
Skill Requirements
  • Mature, able to handle the demands of the role, and capable of reading, writing, and following directions accurately.
