Job summary

Iowa Home Care in Newton, IA is looking for a Home Health Aide/CNA (part-time and full-time) to provide compassionate personal care to clients in their homes. You will assist with daily routines, mobility, and safety while recording vital signs and communicating changes to the care team.

The role requires a CNA certification (Iowa registry preferred), a high school diploma or GED, and reliable transportation with insurance. Excellent benefits and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in home care, nursing home, or hospital settings preferred.
• CNA certification in good standing on the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry preferred.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and insurance required.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to client safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and mobility support
• Take and record vital signs as directed
• Assist with toileting, catheter care, and G-tube care
• Help with light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, and vacuuming
• Follow infection control and safety protocols using appropriate PPE
• Communicate any changes in condition to the RN and care team
• Offer emotional support and a compassionate presence during every visit
