Job summary

Iowa Home Care is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide / CNA to support clients in Adel, IA. This part-time role features morning visits from 9:00 to 11:00 AM seven days a week, with additional evening visits, under the direction of our skilled nursing team.

You’ll provide personal care, assist daily routines, and build trusting connections in the client’s home. Ideal candidates are patient, dependable, and empathetic, with a commitment to dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CNA certification in good standing on Iowa registry preferred.
• 1-2 years experience in home care, nursing home, or hospital settings preferred.
• Strong communication skills with ability to follow instructions.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and insurance required.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care with client safety in mind.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and mobility support.
• Take and record vital signs as directed.
• Assist with toileting, catheter care, and G-tube care.
• Help with light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, and vacuuming.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols using appropriate PPE.
• Communicate any changes in condition to the RN and care team.
• Offer emotional support and a compassionate presence during every visit.
