Job summary

Sunrise Health Services is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personal care and support for terminally ill patients under the supervision of a Nurse or Nurse Supervisor. Responsibilities

• Performs only those personal care activities contained in a written assignment which may include: Helping the patient to maintain good personal hygiene.
• Assisting in maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals; grocery shopping when instructed by the nurse; assisting in feeding; assisting with special diets as ordered by the physician.
• Assisting the patient in ambulation and with walker or wheelchair as taught by the nurse.
• Assisting with prescribed treatments and basic care as directed by the nurse or physician.
• Assisting with range of motion exercises as taught.
• Encouraging independence according to the care plan; promoting mental alertness through activities.
