Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking compassionate Home Health CNAs to provide one-on-one in-home care across Roanoke, Salem, and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible scheduling including full-time, part-time, and PRN options, with a pay rate of $17 per hour.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with the home health team to ensure adherence to care plans. CNA certification in Virginia and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Nursing Assistant Certification in Virginia (VA) is required.
• CPR certification required.
• Six months of healthcare experience preferred.
• TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care for patients in a home setting.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, feeding).
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises.
• Monitor patient condition including vital signs and glucose as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and report changes to supervising nurse.
• Collaborate with home health nurses and aides to follow care plans.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team.

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Home Health Certified Nursing Assistants - CNA/ NA to provide personalized, one-on-one care for patients in a home setting throughout Roanoke, Salem, and the surrounding areas. This position is ideal for caregivers who enjoy helping others maintain independence, comfort, and safety while having flexibility and control over their schedule.

As a Home Health Certified Nursing Assistants - CNA/ NA, you will assist patients with activities of daily living while working closely with the home health team to ensure patients receive exceptional care in accordance with their individualized care plans.

Responsibilities of Home Health Certified Nursing Assistants - CNA/ NA:

• Provide one-on-one care for patients in a home setting
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and feeding
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises
• Monitor patient condition including vital signs, intake/output, and blood glucose when required
• Maintain accurate documentation and report changes in patient condition to supervising nurse
• Work alongside home health nurses and aides to ensure patient care plans are followed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team members

Qualifications of Home Health Certified Nursing Assistants - CNA/ NA:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Active Nursing Assistant Certification in the state of Virginia
• CPR certification required
• Six (6) months of healthcare experience preferred
• Current tuberculosis test required
• Reliable transportation required
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
